The first 14 participants at IEM gamescom have been determined. With the 2 players from Korea, a total of 16 participants will have qualified through online qualifiers.
Another 8 spots will be available through the open bracket, consisting of a total of 32 players. A detailed explanation about the format of that can be found

The participants that have been determined so far consist of 8 players from Europe, 4 players from South and North America and 2 players from Australia.
Out of these players,

SortOf have managed to go through all three stages of their respective region's qualifiers to qualify for gamescom.
The 8 players that have qualified from Europe are actually of 8 different nationalities.

The Korean Qualifier
As mentioned above, the only qualifiers that are still running are the Korean ones.
The system is slightly different from that in the other qualifiers, as there are four cups that each allow one player to qualify for the Korean Final.
Players

MC have been seeded into the final, while
KeeN and
inori have already qualified through the two cups on July 13th and July 18th.
Two more cups are coming up on July 23rd and 27th, while the Finals will be played out on July 30th.
