After yesterday's heavily stacked qualifier has been played out, the 8 players to move into stage 3 have been determined. Even though NightEnD and Stephano were not able to play, some great matches were seen.

What happened in Stage 2?

Both NightEnD and Stephano were not able to play, so they were replaced by LoWeLy and MoMaN, who both dropped out in the first two rounds of the Lower Bracket.

In the end, Nerchio, ReaL, Slivko and VortiX advanced through the Winner Bracket, while Naama, Grubby, Adelscott and SortOf successfully made it through the Lower Bracket.

Five out of these players, namely Nerchio, ReaL, VortiX, Adelscott and SortOf, actually managed to qualify coming from the first Stage, rather than being seeded into Stage 2.

Since only the top 8 players had to be determined, no further matches were played.

Who will qualify?

This stage is the stage that everyone has been waiting and working for. Stage 3 will determine the European participants of gamescom - meaning only 7 of the 16 players competing will move on to play at this season's first stop of the Intel Extreme Masters.
