Korean Qualifier concluded, two Korean teams in groups
The Korean teams CJ Entus and the newly formed ESG, which has been formed by former Azubu Blaze top lane player Reapered, have qualified through the Korean qualifier. ESG had overcome Team OP and CJ Entus to win the entire qualifier.
CJ Entus, placing second in the Korean qualifier, received the second Korean slot. The last remaining slot was given to the newly crowned German EPS champions under the banner of mousesports.
Counter Logic Gaming EU, who were previously seeded into Group A, agreed to switch groups with one of the Korean teams, in order to avoid having both Korean teams in the same group.
