From TaKe's couch to South America

The new year has started, the HomeStoryCup IV is over and it is time for the players to think about Sao Paulo again. Tuesday night the Final Qualifiers in Europe and North America will start for the StarCraft II tournament at the Global Challenge Sao Paulo.

In Europe the second and last Qualifier will take place with the two finalists winning their spot at the tournament. With the HSC IV being finished a well stacked field should be expected. Currently on the sign-up sheet are players like Adelscott, HasuObs, Delphi, merz, KroLu, Socke and real. Some of them had a really bad performance over the weekend in Krefeld and might want to lighten their spirit with a visit to Sao Paulo.

The Qualifier will be broadcasted live on ESL TV with MrBitter and RotterdaM and the tournament tree will be online later tonight.

Meanwhile North America will launch its Final Qualifier also tonight and it will continue on the 12th of January. After three Pre-Qualifiers where the Top 4 advance and four invited players the roster of 16, that will battle it out for four tournament spots, is set.

The first two rounds of the Winner and the first two round of the Loserbracket will be played out today, Tuesday night and the final and deciding games will take place on Thursday the 12th.
