We have to disqualify the Romanian team neXtPlease from the running season of the Intel Extreme Masters 4. One of their players was caught cheating in an official match of the ESL Balkan League. Therefore the player receives 12 penalty points and is barred for 2 years.

Yesterday we've announced the first qualified Counter-Strike teams for the American Championship Finals. Today the last match of Quake Live's regular season has been played. One the four group winners is rapha, who is already qualified for the World Championship due to his victory at the Global Challenge Dubai.

All regular season matches of the American Championship Counter-Strike have been played. The sixteen best teams of the North American continent competed for six slots for the Championship Finals taking place in Edmonton November 11th to 13th. Four of them are awarded by the group winners, another two will be determined via relegation matches.

This Thursday ESL TV brings you another thrilling Counter-Strike match of the Intel Extreme Masters European Championship. The naked names of both teams promise an easy win for the Germans, but the Intel Extreme Masters Champions of season 2 seem to be in bad shape, if we judge them by their perfomance at the Global Challenges in Chengdu and Dubai.

This week the first playday of the European Championship WoW was held. Six of eight matches were played live at ESL TV's show WoWverload commentated by James Harding. You can now watch the VoD! Last seasons European champion iNNERFiRE from Bulgaria will start into the new season on Friday facing the Finnish team of the tournament.

The first Continental Championships Finals of the Intel Extreme Masters IV are just a few weeks ahead. The event in Edmonton, Canada will determine the American Champions and of course their participants for the World Championships taking place at CeBIT in March 2010. It is about time to announce the final slot distribution for each of the three continents.

After announcing eight invited teams for the European Championship one month ago another eight World of Warcraft teams had to be determined via an ingame-ladder provided by Blizzard. During the last two weeks almost one hundred teams competed for the four available slots of the European Championship. Here are the eight winners of the qualification and the official groups of the Intel Extreme Masters European Championship.

Today we have to disqualify two teams from the running season of the Intel Extreme Masters 4. The Finnish team munkka as well as the American team The Kenna 5ive gathered too many penalty points and are therefore kicked out of the running season. Unfortunately Turmoil Gaming, theCOOLkids and zetsumei decided to leave the American Championship.

The die is cast. Here are the groups of the Intel Extreme Masters European Championship featuring quake stars such as fox, Stermy, Cooller and noctis. There were four seeding pools, divided by prior tournaments results and qualifier results. From each seeding pool a player was placed in one of the eight groups considering that not more than one player from each country and clan get into one group.

The Intel Extreme Masters European Championship is here with a lot of awesome matches from the world's best Counter-Strike teams competing in this unique tournament. All 32 participants are set for the European Championship of the Intel Extreme Masters European Championship. Those 32 participants will be divided into four seeding pools to be drawn into eight groups on Wednesday, 22.00 CET on ESL TV during the Quake Live show. Players from fourteen countries will participate in the European Championship and will fight four one of the sixteen slots on the European Championship Finals.

Yesterday the last qualification cup for the Intel Extreme Masters was held. More than one hundred players took the last chance to get one of the four spots. During the past two weeks all in all 16 players qualified for the European Championship Quake Live joined by another 16 already invited players. On Wednesday we will draw and announce the groups as well as the European and American Championship World of Warcraft groups live on ESL TV. Don't miss that!

The last Qualifier for the Intel Extreme Masters European Championship in Quake Live will take place on Sunday. Be part of it, register right now and mess with the best European Quake Live players. Second qualification cup for the European Championship Quake Live has been finished. Four well known players made their way to the semi finals and are therefore qualified for the European Championship of the Intel Extreme Masters. We already announced that the fourth season of the Intel Extreme Masters will feature a Quake Live online season as part of the European and American Championships. The European Championship will feature 32 players in eight groups. Out of those, 16 will come from qualification tournaments and the other 16 will be invited directly into the regular season.
