In what comes as a major change to 2009's tournament schedule, we can announce today that the Continental Finals Europe will take place at CeBIT in Hannover (March 3-8), the world's biggest IT trade fair. The European qualification with 80,000$ was previously scheduled to be held in Hamburg. Through the change, the total prize purse at CeBIT reaches 280,000$.

After years of the ESL's home being in NGZ's Coburg datacenter, we will move out on December 16th. For the whole day our IT will be on duty, working hard for you in order to limit the downtime to just one day. With a heavy heart we say farewell to NGZ, as ESL will move to its new home in a city on the Rhine.
