From 15th to 18th of March 2007, the finals of the first Extreme Masters season will take place at the world's biggest IT trade fair CeBIT in Hannover, Germany. The best European teams and players will join in a spectacular final tournament, fighting for 160,000 Euro ($205,000) in prize money. With the full support of Intel, you can expect the most exciting All-European eSports tournament ever.

Santa is coming soon! And Extreme Masters by ESL season one will have a little break till January 8th to enjoy Christmas and New Year's Eve. But after this small time-out, we will be back in full swing. The next Intel Friday Night Game is taking place in Paris on January 19th and the finals of the first season are also coming up.

In a few minutes the first Intel Friday Night Game in Scandinavia will start. In Stockholm, Sweden, Europe's best players will face eatch other. The Extreme Masters welcomes NoA and SK Gaming in Counter-Strike. The Warcraft 3 match between ElakeDuck and DIDI8 is cancelled. DIDI8's plane can't start, because it's too foggy in Bulgaria. We are sad that we have to announce this, but we can also present a replacement: ID.Sjow will play some showmatches against ElakeDuck.

Unfortunately, we have to announce the first disqualification of the Extreme Masters by ESL. Due to maxed out penalty points, it is our sad duty to disqualify the Russian Counter-Strike team Virtus.pro from the Extreme Masters. While not having committed any major offense, Virtus.pro accumulated penalties for lots of small misdemeanors, finally hitting the penalty point maximum today.

On Friday 8th December the world will turn to Stockholm, Sweden for the Intel Friday Night Game between NoA and SK Gaming. The game will be played on LAN in front of a live audience. The game will be part of a huge TV show with interviews, raffles and lots more so be sure to be there.
