eLquA removed from Intel Extreme Masters

![]() Sadly, we have to announce that the French Warcraft 3 player Idris 'eLquA' Ambraisse will no longer be able to participate in the Intel® Extreme Masters. Due to penalties incurred for not showing up for his match versus KnOfF, he has obtained his second major penalty and has to leave the tournament.
After several minor penalties for delayed statements,

obviously a lot of foreign players/teams are not used to the strict esl rules... maybe the esl should think about not destroying the competition with those rules. | ||

He didn't show up for two games - there is no competition to destroy when a player doesn't wanna play. | ||

#2 agree the extreme masters are a proffesional tournament... 2 times not showing up could maybe have been handled if elqua explained what happenend but also the minor penalties + no explanatation. simply too bad if you cant handle and show up on the playdates. e-sports is somewhat compareable with real sports... if u look at that u will see they do the give away same (or even harder) punishments for not showing up |
