Today the maybe biggest LAN Party in history has opened its gates for players from all over Europe. The Intel® Extreme Masters crew also starts with it's work and we saw a whole bunch of pretty nice matches. Intel® Extreme Masters Dreamhack
Sweden, Jönköping. This weekend will bring a new record of visitors for the crew of DreamHack. As far as they know just about 10,000 people (exibitioners, press and pure visitors included) are about to celebrate the LAN event of 2007. The Intel® Extreme Masters are also here to bring the big eSports to Sweden. With some top matches of the Main Round the audience faces hard matches for the big money the Intel® Extreme Masters provides.

World of Warcraft hits the stage!
Today was the big debut for World of Warcraft as a big tournament on its own. Right after the first event at the WC3L Finals in Hamburg, Sweden saw the real big matches and the crowd thanked in the usual way. With a crowded tribune and a lot of people standing next to the tournament area all the matches were observed with great interest by both players and audience as well. The big highlight was MoB TurtlePower defeating Pandemic in a heartstopping thriller. 3 to 2 was the result and the first loss for Pandemic in their history.

Behind the Matches
The hall the DreamHack is in is a little micro cosmos. With toilettes, showers, a small mall and everything else you can think of you don't have to leave the building during the LAN at all ... if you do not want to see the sun and breath fresh air. At 4 pm the staff officially launched this winter's DreamHack with a countdown to switch off the lights in the whole building. Only the Intel® Extreme Masters booth is sending light to all the people who have forgotten how daylight looks like.

For my first time going to Sweden I expected some clishes to be proven. Snow and frozen seas, the best connection on earth, IKEAs all over the country as well as many beatiful girls on a LAN were just some of the proven facts.
