From 29th to 30th of November the most exciting eSports competition is heading for Dreamhack! Sponsor team Blizzard Entertainment®, Intel® Corporation and Dell Inc. partner to present a 75,000 $ WoW tournament as part of the Intel® Extreme Masters. Besides thrilling CS and WC3 main round matches the world elite of World of Warcraft will face off to determine the 2007 champion.

Originally slated for a now-canceled event, the World of Warcraft tournament was added to the international Intel® Extreme Masters Season II through collaboration between ESL, Intel, Blizzard and Dell. As a show of support for the World of Warcraft pro-gaming community, the sponsors collaborated to produce a new “Finals” event backed by a new prize package, and invited the eight top-ranked teams from previous tournament to Sweden to compete for the “World’s Best” honour.

The Return of World of Warcraft!

The first European World of Warcraft offline event was held in Hamburg, Germany, during the Blizzard and Intel® Warcraft Weekend in June. Now we step it up! At Dreamhack the Intel® Extreme Masters Global Challenge: World of Warcraft will guarantee thrilling matches between the best World of Warcraft teams in the world for a whopping 75,000 US-Dollar overall prize money!

Be prepared for a new step into eSport for World of Warcraft presented by the ESL and Blizzard. The game is coming back, and it's going to be big, thanks to Intel® Corporation and Dell Inc.!

Prize Money Distribution:

First Place: 45,000 US-Dollar
Second Place: 22,500 US-Dollar
Third Place: 7,500 US-Dollar

Furthermore all teams receive 4,500 US-Dollar travel refund. This are all in all 36,000 US-Dollar.
