We are able to provide this last chance qualifier because the third qualifying slot assigned to Finland was unfilled after redWhite was disqualified from their national qualifier for playing with ringers, missing Aequitas files and playing their matches with less than three Finnish players. Obviously this behaviour cannot be tolerated in such a high level tournament.

The Last Chance Qualifier will take place completely this Sunday, 4th November from 15CET onwards. All matches will be played back to back in a marathon, teams must be prepared to play 5 matches on a tight schedule lasting at least 5 hours if they want to qualify.

The qualifier will feature 32 teams in one map, single elimination. Remember there is just 1 spot to qualify for!

Special rules for this cup:

The team which reaches the limit of 16 rounds first wins the match
As in all qualifiers Aequitas and recording demos is mandatory!
Missing Aequitas Files or missing Demos will result in a Default Loss
A no-show will also result in a Default Loss
When you are not on the server 10 minutes after the match was supposed to start, then it will result in a no-show. (This doesn't apply if you have problems and contact an admin before the match but keep in mind we can not wait forever!)

How to signup:

Step 1 (Get an ESL account):

All your team needs to have to participate and sign-up is for every player to have an ESL account that you can register easily and free of charge. Just state your nickname and a valid email address and complete the registration process. Your team leader will need to register a team account and then all players should djoin it.

If you already have a team or player account at the ESL, you can of course use it and should not create a new one. Check out this FAQ for a detailed description of how to register and enter the required information.

Step 2 (Filling your profiles with information):

Fill up your account with all relevant information. All this information can be hidden from the public (except the real name).

Full Name
Birthday (including year of birth)
Address (City)
MSN or ICQ (only one of those is required)
IRC Channel
Photo/team logo
Game Accounts (SteamID)

You need to make sure that EVERY member is registered in your ESL team account.

A useful hint for managers is to look in the "members" section of your team account to see the status of your individual members. There you can quickly see who has entered their SteamIDs.

Step 3 (Application process):

Once you have registred and filled in all the necessary information you can sign up!

The sign-up for the Last Chance Qualifier will open at 18:00 CET on Saturday and close at 12:00 CET on Sunday.

Sign-ups are first come, first serve but there is a limit of 8 teams per country and a team must have minimum 3 out of 5 players ingame from the same country so it has a nationality and is considered from that country. We will be very strict on this 60% nationality rule!
