How he qualified: Miou won the German ESL Pro Series Season VIII and therefore qualified directly for the Extreme Masters.

History: Miou has won five seasons of the German ESL Pro Series Season VIII in a row. He also won countless other (mostly national) tournaments.

Zdravko 'Insomnia' Georgiev

Team: SK Gaming
Race: Human
Replays: WC3L: Insomnia vs. Spell - ENC: Insomnia vs. Sase - EM Insomnia vs. Didi8

How he qualified: Insomnia won the Bulgarian Extreme Masters national qualifier and therefore directly qualified for the Extreme Masters.

History: Insomnia is playing Warcraft III on top level since a long time now. He won the last WCG that was played in the orginal Warcraft III (Reign of Chaos) and has been considered to be one of the best human players in the world ever since. Insomnia is well known for his inventive play style and will surely try to surprise a few of the players in the Extreme Masters.

Dimitar 'DIDI8' Aleksandrov

Team: World Elite
Race: Night Elve
Replays: WC3L: Didi8 vs. NangChun - ENC: Didi8 vs. Miou - EM: Didi8 vs. sun4o

How he qualified: Didi8 placed second in the Bulgarian Extreme Masters national qualifier and therefore directly qualified for the Extreme Masters.

History: Didi8 had his up and downs in his Warcraft 3 history but none the less still has to be considered as one of the best Nightelve players in Europe. It seems almost impossible for humans or orcs to tower rush him as his timing and micro in defending against these rushes is just perfect. Didi8 recently left his former team fnatic to join Just Players, a Bulgarian-only team which now forms the Europe team of World Elite.

Mykhaylo 'HoT' Novopashyn

Team: SK-Gaming
Race: Night Elve
Replays: EM: HoT vs. Lose - WC3L: Hot vs. Southsea - WC3L: Hot & Deadman vs. Farseer & Rainbow

How he qualified: HoT placed second in the Ukraine Extreme Masters qualifier. He won versus Hobbit in round one and versus Lose in the Extreme Masters qualifier and therefore qualified for the Extreme Masters.

History: Hot is probably the strongest Warcraft III player in Ukraine at the moment. Hot is known for his aggressive Night Elve play-style and he is able to regularly beat the 'big names'. His Night Elve mirror match is one of the best on this fair planet and his diversified play style is just impressive.

Andrey 'Deadman' Sobolev

Team: SK Gaming
Race: Night Elve
Replays: EM: Deadman vs. Abver - WC3L: Deadman vs. FoV - ENC Deadman vs. Protois

How he qualified: Deadman won the Russian Extreme Masters national qualifier and therefore directly qualified for the Extreme Masters.

History: Andrey Sobolev came into the WC3L with the Armateam long ago, then moved on to 64AMD and finally found his home in SK. Since he joined, he has been a nearly sure point every playday whoever he was playing against. He is one of the best night elve players in the world, but can also play other races on a competitive level. Deadman likes to switch to orc in nightelve mirror and has shown that he can beat nearly everyone with that strategy. Deadman just recently won the Kode5 Global Finals and underlined his current strength.

ElakeDuck

Team: SK Gaming
Race: Orc
Replays: ENC: Elakeduck & SaSe vs. hanf & Protois - ENC: Elakeduck vs. Paladyn - ENC: Elakeduck vs. Spell

How he qualified: Elakeduck placed second the Swedish Extreme Masters national qualifier and therefore directly qualified for the Extreme Masters.

History: A while ago Elakeduck was best known for his tower strategies and 'friendly discussions' with his opponents. However things have changed since that. Elakeduck just came back from a phase of inactivity due to an heavy poker addiction. It seems that he finally found the right balance between poker and Warcraft III. The orc from Sweden seems to be in the shape of his life at the moment and should be considered one of the favourites.
