The Instant Challenger is the fastest and most direct way to find a suitable opponent for an immediate match. As soon as you click the button, the system searches for an equally strong opponent, who is at that moment also searching for an opponent.

No more annoying arrangements of matches in advance and no more frustrating searches in IRC for an immediate match! Simply start the Instant Challenger, sit back and wait for an opponent!

Before you use the Instant Challenger for the first time, we recommend to read the FAQ and the complete description.

In order to be able to use the Instant Challenger, Java and Java Script must be installed and activated. We recommend to use the official Sun Java 2 Runtime Environment (J2RE), available for Windows, Linux, Macintosh, Solaris and other major operating systems. If the Chat in the Pre-Match window does not appear, then Java Virtual Machine is not installed on your system, and/or not correctly configured.

• Internet Explorer - if applet does not load, download and install the Sun Java Plug-in.
• Netscape/Mozilla - download and install the latest version of the Sun Java Plug-in.


• Opera - make sure you installed Opera with Java (available from the Opera Webseite).

Java must be installed only once, no further programmes are necessary.
