 CeBIT 2008 - About the Intel Extreme Masters II Finals
The Intel Extreme Masters by ESL is an eSports tournament sponsored by Intel. The world's best players in the two games Warcraft 3 and Counter-Strike 1.6 meet both online and offline to determine the best team and best player. $285,000 in prize money are up for grabs. At the end of the 6 month season, 20 participants will convene at a large offline event in Germany to crown the season champions.
The Finals are held at the CeBIT in Hannover, Germany. From 6th to 9th March the best 10 teams in Counter-Strike and the 10 best Warcraft 3 players of the world will play for the $285,000 in prize money. The final games on saturday and sunday will be played live at the Intel booth at the fair.
